Lauren's sunflowers were huge!  The corn looks great but we didn't get much.  In fact all of our gardens grew  really good this year.

Remember that our last post said that Ryker would only eat home grown carrots, this is one of them. Surprisingly the carrot was a yellow carrot, but he said it still tastes good.   

Sprinkler Time August 12, 2014

First, second, third! They were walking on the sidewalk because it was warm and it didn't get as wet.

 

Brianna wanted to join them, but she was to mature to get all wet so she made it low and put her toes in the water.  

Reese thought this was the best way to get wet because she doesn't get her face wet.

We made these things while grandma was here, Bri and I were at girls camp.  They had fun painting the things that they made out of clay.

 had a child look like this? After breakfast on sundays when the kids are done eating muffins they look like chocolate monsters.  I'll always keep my chocolate monsters because they are so cute.  I'm a little sad when they stop eating so messy because that means they are growing up.

A love of a carrot! Aug 10, 2014

This is Ryker with a carrot shoved in his mouth. He is trying to be bugs bunny with a carrot  that is home grown.  Ryker won't eat a carrot that is from the store, but he can't wait until they are ready to be picked.  

Silverwood Theme Park 2014

 Silverwood boulder beach tube ride.  Everyone went on this ride except Reese and I.  Reese wasn't tall enough so we played at the little kiddy splash pad.  Next time I want to try this one.

 We were lucky to have our good friends come with us.  It made it special and the kids had a blast.

After swimming we got ice cream from this ice creamery. 

     Here is a picture of how big the ice cream cones are.  This is just one scoop, but it looks like five scoops.  I did my best at eating all of it but I couldn't finish it.  My stomach churned for a few hours.  Shane had to finish mine and some of the kids.  Next time we will be sharing.  We did enjoy our treat!  I don't think I had ice cream for about a year after this though.

This is one of the new rides.  It went up high, but not to high and then it would boing down like a frog.  Your stomach would go up and down.  It felt funny!

 

We didn't plan on some of us wearing the same color. It made it easier to keep track of each other.

We couldn't get enough of the tiny toot.  EVEN THE BIG KIDS!!!

I am taking a picture of  us on the parachute ride.  I figure I need at least one picture of me there since I am always the one with the camera.

Last ride is always the carousel.  It usually ends up in a mad dash before they close.  Reese and all of the others loved the chance to ride the horses.  Overall it was a good day at the park.

First Year Theme Go for the Gold Aug. 2014

One of the first challenges was to play chubby bunny.  It ended up in a hot mess because it was so hot outside 1000 degrees out, and the marshmallows had all melted.... but Bri didn't care she just wanted the mellows.

Because it was so hot outside the girls couldn't wait until they could play in the stream.  This is where you could always find those missing girls.

   

Bri had the chance to hold a garter snake.  She thought it was cool.

One of the joys of girls camp is learning all of the silly camp songs.  Bri finally got into it  near the end of camp.

I was able to go on the hike with Bri.  It wasn't that great of a view but we did get a work out. Plus the girls were able to cross off that requirement.

These two beautiful ladies came to sing me a song or two.  They have wonderful voices and I will listen to them any time any where.  In fact I drove them up to camp and had them sing to me.  It was better then the radio.

She also got to hold a little frog that just wanted to jump out of her hands.  That is why it looks like she is squishing it.  But she didn't.

As you can see I got to listen to some pretty music on the way home.  That is until they fell asleep.  Bri was used as a warm place to sleep.  Isn't she cute!!
