daddy & daughter Feb 18, 2007

Brianna really wanted to play D&D with her daddy! So- tonight Shane pulled it out after dinner. They both picked three monsters and played. She is getting better playing with him. Shane had the cutest smile on his face while playing with her. I don't think that Brianna will ever know how happy that made her daddy.
On the flip side Paige felt very left out and just wanted to do what Brianna was doing. Shane gave her some dice to play with but that wasn't what she wanted. I'm going to have to think of something for us to do next time the D&D gets pulled out.

Happy Valentine's Feb 14, 2007

I received a package on the door and it had this mini rose plant in it. It was the first time I have ever gotten flowers delivered to me. I felt really special. I'm still wondering when Shane did this because he was very sick right before Valentines day. The roses smell great and I'm hoping that I can keep it alive. :)

Brianna giving her best friend a Valentine.

These girls love spending time together if they could they would be at each others houses every day. It's fun to watch but sad because it's a sign of growing up.

There was a ton of treats at the party! Paige loved the fact that she could just sit there and eat treats and watch every one run around and play.

At the school they have a little sand box which at one point all the kids played in.

Brianna had a Valentine's day party which both of the girls were excited about. In fact they both woke up at 6:30am. That's an hour earlier then normal. When Paige came into our room she came over to my side of the bed and said "Happy Valentine's!" Cute huh!!! Then she went on to telling me that we had a party to get ready for. So- we got up and started. The girls wanted their hair braided and their nails painted pink. We had already made the treat the night before. Paige and Brianna were so excited and once we got there they had a blast. Holidays are so much more fun now that I have kids.
We received to packages from one from both sides of the family. The girls loved the goodies they received. We did too. THANKS! We love you.
After the party we went into Spokane and purchased Shane three boxes of monsters (one from each of us.) The girls thought it was fun. We also got some balloons and surprised him at work. We gave him the balloons and said that was his present. Later at dinner we gave him the real one. He was surprised and happy. I however was not happy because after he had opened them we figured out that he didn't get one new one. They were all repeats. I was MAD!!! Shane took us out to dinner at Pizza Hut. The bread sticks were great the pizza was very salty. I don't know how it could be but it was like eating a saltine cracker. I don't think we will be going there any time soon.

Sorry Feb 13,2007

Paige had to tell Brianna sorry and for some reason it happened in the bathroom. Shane took it and he said that Bri had gone in there to pout. Obviously it didn't last long. They are really starting to play well together. Look at that cute picture!

Lazy Weekend Feb 9-12, 2007

Well- we have not been feeling so good here in the Nielson household. This is a couple pictures of Shane and the girls. Shane came home from work with a cold in the beginning of the week and it got really bad by Friday. He really did nothing but lay around and watch T.V. , sleep and eat very, very little. In fact his stomach has always been small but over the weekend it got even smaller. We were surprised when his pants were big on him. :) The girls were glad to have daddy around even if he couldn't really do anything. Brianna drew him a picture. Paige kept giving him kisses. On Tuesday when he went back to work the girls were really sad. By the way Shane gave me his cold. Isn't that nice of him. Thankfully the cold hasn't effected me as much as him and the girls are not sick. One of us have been sick with something for some time now. I can't wait until we are all feeling better. The weather is warmer and the sun is coming out so that will help.

Potty Training Feb 2007

We have been trying to work with Paige on using the
potty. This was a good day where she wanted to sit on the potty. She
hasn't gone yet. We told her that if she would like to start preschool
next year she has to learn to use the potty. It made a small difference
in her attitude. I don't think that she is going to do it any time
soon. Especially with the little one coming in a few months.
