Baseball Time

I love this picture of Paige looking at her daddy. Shane was asking her what she would like to do with him. Bri picked playing Baseball. Paige wanted to go on a walk with him. It is a BIG deal to go on a walk with daddy. So they went for a walk. Latter I saw Paige trying to play her own kind of baseball. :)

Brianna has a chore chart that she gets to put stickers on. Once she has filled up the chart she gets pick a prize. One of things she picked out this summer was a baseball and bat. It has gotten good use this summer. She has really improved and surprised Shane and I. Whenever we go anywhere she asks if we can bring it with us. Cute HUH!
Our yard at it's worst in this picture. We have since learned that we need to water in the morning otherwise your yard can grow mold/fungus. The yard now looks great. I do have to mention that half of the yard you see is our neighbors and he doesn't take care of it.

Dad gets help

We got a new bookcase for the girls. Brianna was given the chance to use the hammer. Paige was just excited that she could be with the people she loved. The new bookcase fits more of their books Aunt Rena gave us from the trip down to IF. Thanks Sis!

Time back home 8-26-06

While I was in IF for a week we drove past the new Rexburg Temple. As you can see it's coming along. It's positioned up on the hill so you can see it wherever you go. As we stopped to look at the temple Paige dumped a yogurt all over her lap. To say the least she wasn't the only one not happy! To look back on it now it's funny.

Another thing the girls did was put on a fashion show for us. Paige said that she wanted it off because it iched her. Brianna didn't know if she really wanted all the attention. Maddie loved it and could have done it for hours if she was told she could. Kids are so funny and oh so different.

Try, Try,Try again

Well after 9 month of trying we are happy to announce that we are expecting!!! I'm only 4 weeks pregnant so hopefully nothing bad happens. We just couldn't wait to tell all of you. When we told Bri she looked very thoughtful and looked at my belly and asked where? I then told here that it was very small and would get bigger. It was funny. I don't know if she believes us. Today I was sick and Bri didn't seem to really care. I hope that it doesn't continue. It will make it hard for me to make the days fun for the girls. I didn't get sick with the girls so maybe it's finally the boy that we've been waiting for.

Idaho Falls Trip Aug. 21-28

With Shane working now he can't take tons of time off. So- I decided to be brave and travel to IF with the girls. We were there for a week of fun! The first day we got to help Rena with putting up her bulletin boards and all the fun stuff that teachers do before school starts. Then we went traveling around town for supplies for a three-day camping trip. Also we went to the IF zoo and had a picnic. Bri and Paige loved the animals. We don't have any zoos around us so this was their chance. Unfortunately it was very, very hot!

The next day we packed up and went camping. The girls and Maddie were so excited until we told them that we had to set up the tents and then we could play. After setting up camp we went on a walk along the river, then did some crafting. That night we ate dinner, sang camp songs very loudly, and ate S'mores. In the morning we cooked food, got in the water, had goodies, crafted, had a scavenger hunt and just enjoyed each other. That night we couldn't be very loud because the camp ground was full. The girls were sad about that. They enjoyed Mel (Rena's friend) singing all sorts of songs. When we left on Saturday the weather was getting cool and looked as though it was going to rain. Rena asked Paige if she wanted to go and she said with her stubborn voice "NO!" Rena laughed. Then she expained that we were going back to her house. That made it okay to leave the campsite.

The girls and I had a blast. When it was time for us to go we were sad, especially Brianna. She cried off and on all the way home. The drive was long, but we will do it again. Next time we will stay longer. I now know that if I leave enough food in the fridge for Shane to heat-up he won't die. :)
When we got home daddy had left us a note on the door and said that there were surprises for us hidden in the house. Brianna was happy to come home for the first time ( good job daddy!) Brianna got a Barbie Princess Dress, Paige got a large baby my little pony and I got a case for my serger. Then Brianna wanted to continue looking around for more new things. Daddy got home soon after us from work. We All MISSED HIM! Glad to be back.

Ward Campout - Aug 18-19

Our ward has a annual campout which I'm good at getting Shane to attend. It's all part of supporting people in their callings (right)! Again our friends that used to be in our ward came up to the campout. It's only a one night thing but- it's enough for Shane. The kids loved getting VERY dirty and sticky from the S'mores. We found a rope swing and all took turns it was FUN! Of course it was also good to come home and shower at the end!

Silverwood- Aug. 4th

Some of our friends came up to visit us. We had decided that it would be fun to take the kids to Silverwood theme park and Boulder Beach. The kids went wild!! Brianna was nervous at first. She got over it. The only problem is she is not 42 inches tall. This is the restiction that caused problems with both families. Paige didn't know how to handle the rides. She would go on them with me and cry with Shane. :) We ate tons of junk food, laughed alot, and made great memories. When we made it over to Boulder Beach it was getting cooler (4ish). The water was ok. Best part of that was, the wave pool. Brianna had Shane help her jump the waves. She giggled and giggled. Bri didn't want to leave. I held Paige. She almost fell asleep. Poor girl with no nap. By the end we had enjoyed the time with friends, food and entertainment. All of us were tired when we left at 10:00pm and still had to drive home. Next year Brianna will hopefully be able to ride on the BIG kid rides. That will be fun!
