The Ring 11-04-08

Here is a story of a ring. When Shane asked me to marry him he gave me a beautiful ring. I loved it very much. Well- four years into our marriage we went to a family reunion and we were having a blast Dad had brought his new water toys for all of us to enjoy. We had a blast out their on the water. Then once we got back to Grandpa's house I went to put on my ring and I couldn't find it. I had chosen to take it off so I wouldn't loose it in the water. Well- that was a poor chose on my part because I lost it anyway. We looked all over for it. I was quite upset and thought it over many times and the more I thought about it the more I questioned where I had put it for safe keeping. Over the years we hoped that it would show up but I told Shane that if we didn't find it by our 10th wedding anniversary I would love a new ring. I figured out by then we would be done with school and hopefully have a house. Well- I was right and this was the year of our 10th anniversary. When we went to IF to celebrate our anniversary Shane kept leaving and was gone for hours at a time. By the last time I figured that he must be looking for a ring for me. He really liked the place he got it from last time and said he would get it from them again. To say the least I got my ring again. No more plain band for me! Thanks for the beautiful ring Shane. The girls all love my ring and ask if they can wear it and my response is no I'm never taking off this ring (not even in the water)!
