Rodeo Weekend 7/10

We all look forward to rodeo weekend.  It is a weekend of family fun.  This year the parade was much better then the year before.  More floats, politicians  :) , candy and horses!  The local flower shop handed out roses to all the women.  I enjoyed getting one.  The weather was nice because of the breeze.

Below:  We are at the local rodeo.  The kids look forward to this all year.  This year we sat below the speakers and we felt like we were at a rock concert.  You had to talk really loud to the person next to you or they didn't hear you.  I couldn't talk to Shane to whole time because he was to far away to hear.  We won't seat there again.

Before it started we went and looked at the animals.  Ryker wanted to climb in with the bulls.  Some of our friends went with us the kids liked hanging out together.

4th of July 2010

To watch the fireworks the kids made a nice little bed in the back of  Uncle Steve's truck.  They liked it because of all the blankets, it was a cold 4th.

If there is a broom Ryker will find it and walk around with it.  He loves them.

Lauren's shot was a tad off. I  think that the lawn behind the
sign got a good watering.
In Idaho Falls the fourth of July was celebrated on Saturday.
We enjoyed walking around the river and on the way back to
grandma's house we saw that the firemen were letting the kids
use the hoses.  Lauren and Bri wanted to try.  They both thought
it was fun.

My mom and niece Maddie enjoying putting on a rock band.   It was quite a  show!

Bri squirting the audience.

Paige being the cool drummer.

Lauren Rocking out to the band.

meeting Demi 7/02/10

Here is a cute picture of Demery.  The doctor did a great job fixing her eyes.  You would never know that she had plastic surgery on them.  She is growing and getting lots of love.

Shane and Bri holding Demery for the first time.  Brianna had a cold and was really worried that Aunt Rena wouldn't let her hold her.  It made her really happy when she said she could.  Shane normally doesn't like holding other people's little babies but I made him and don't you love that picture of her letting him have it.  :)
Maddie is a great help to her parents and has learned that babies are a lot of work.

We couldn't get enough of her.  She is one cute little girl.  While we were there I couldn't help but say she is so small!  Everything on her is small.  She was still under 7 pounds and about a month old.  Crazy.

Nielson update

School has ended.  Brianna cried as always!  She loves school and she said she wanted to be held back because she loved her teacher so much. Paige was happy for school to be over because that meant that she would be going into first grade and have school every day.  Both of them enjoyed softball, T-ball and soccer this season.
Ryker had his first birthday and is close to running around.  He has become a little climber and thinks he is really cool.  Loves to dance to any kind of music even Lauren singing.  It is super cute!
Lauren is three and one of the big things for her is that her hair is down to her shoulder blades ( that is when it is wet!)  When it's dry it is still above her neck line.  It is really curly and CUTE!!!!
Shane completed his 100 mile bike ride with is dad and brother in May.  He continues to amaze me  because he didn't even train before he left. I was worried he wouldn't make it but I knew that his mom would come and get him if he couldn't make it.  They all made it to the finish in great time too!  I personaly think it is crazy to ride you bike 100 miles in one day.  So, no thank you.
As for me- I am enjoying sleeping in a little bit each day.  I've been sick for the past two weeks.  It hasn't been fun. I'm loving every moment with the kids.
We are looking forward to warm weather and days at the pool.  Summer will include visiting family, the rodeo, pool, bike rides, learing to play tennis, B-B-Q's and spending time with friends.  We have a lot to look forward to and feel really blessed.

Demery is here!

My new niece is here.  My sister had her baby 8 days ago.  There are some health issues however.  Right now they are in Utah at Primary Children's Hospital.  She is not breathing well and they are checking into that.  Her eyelids are still sealed on the corners and she is going to have plastic surgery on Monday hopefully.  The doctors said that she looked like a premature baby but she was only one day early.  Rena is really tired and sounds stressed out.  I wish that I could be there for her.  Demery never wakes up and Rena is having a really hard time feeding her.  She is super cute.  Check out pictures of her on my sisters blog. Please keep them in your prayers.

Riding dad's bike

Boys in black.
Nothing like riding dad's new bike.

Our kids and update

Ryker and Lauren had ear problems in March.  Ryker had a ruptured eardrum.  Lauren had a ear infection.  To top it all off they both had the flu at the same time.  Not to mention that Shane got the flu which turned into pnemonia.  We had a rough few weeks.  Paige lost her first two teeth within days of each other.  She was very happy.  Brianna is a great big sister which helps out when she can/ in the mood.  Lauren is a joy around our house.  Her voice is so cute and she keeps me laughing.  I love my kids and I count my blessings every night as I go to sleep.
