Morning Pictures 11-11-06

The girls jumped into our bed on a Saturday morning to look at pictures in Shane's D&D book. All of them enjoyed the time together. They were there for a good hour. Brianna kept calling me over to look at the really gross looking monsters. Thanks BRI!!!

baby's first picture

This was taken Oct 30th. I was 14 weeks pregnant and due April 30th. The baby looks good and healthy. As he was doing the ultrasound I almost cryied. For some reason it was important to me to see a healthy baby. Just wanted to share our new little one with you. We will find out in December if it's a boy or girl. Oh- another thing I'm glad to find out is we are not having twins. One of my friends kept teasing me that it was going to be twins. :)

FHE

On Monday we were waiting for daddy to start FHE and the girl wanted to say "HI!" to baby (my belly). At first they started to they would talk in my bellly button. Then Brianna started blowing zerberts on my belly. Then both of the girls started to take turns. They were having fun laughing and giggling. I couldn't hold it in anymore and started laughing. Shane then walking in with a weird face. I then went into explaining to him that they were playing with the baby. He laughed. Paige then told me to be quiet. I asked her why she said that baby was sleeping. I said ok. We pulled down my shirt and started with FHE. Brianna said that we had a new family tradition for FHE. I asked what it was. She said blowing zerberts on baby.
We thought it was funny and wanted to share it with you. We didn't know if a picture would look very good. :)

D&D Case

Shane ordered a case of D&D miniatures. He was so excited for it to arrive. When it did he was at work and the girls wanted to open it. As soon as he got home they told him that he had a box. Brianna couldn't believe how many more boxes were in there (12). He got 96 figures. The girls helped him open them very fast. He later said that he would have liked it to taken longer so he could of enjoyed them. It's fun to watch him he is like a little kid in a candy store when he gets a new box.

Halloween

Paige is a snow princess and Brianna was a cat half of the day and a princess for truck-or-treating.

Both of the girls had not thrown up in 24 hours so I thought that were in the clear. I was wrong!! We went to Brianna's school party and within 15 minutes of getting there Paige had a BLOW OUT!! She hasn't had one of those for a very long time. Luckly she had a onesie and pants on under her costume. She wasn't happy about the mess! After the school party we headed home and Paige took a nap. Then at 3:30 we were to head out to daddys work to tick-or-treat in the halls of the retirement center. As we're getting ready to leave Bri has a small accident. FUN FOR ME! So- we clean up and head off. They loved seeing daddy and getting candy. Brianna didn't want to say trick-or-treat but Paige had no hesitation . She knew that it meant CANDY.
On our way home I decided that I would stop at the local store and go to the Pharmicst and ask what I could give my 2 and 4 year old for their problem. He was at a loss and didn't have anything to give them. I went ahead and purchased Immodium for kids (6 year and up.) As we are pulling up in the driveway Brianna screamed out "Mom I just threw up!" It was all over her costume and van. Another FUN FOR ME! After that was all cleaned up- I gave them very small amounts of Immodium. This did the trick for that problem!!! :) Shane the got home from work and I told him what happened. We ate dinner and then told the girls that we didn't know if we should go trunk-or-treating and Brianna freaked out! SO- we went Brianna didn't want to wear a costume because her cat one was now dirty. I told her she couldn't go ask for candy if she didn't wear a costume. With some discussion she put on one. Trunk-or-treating was over within 30 minutes of it starting. Most of the kids were 12 years or older and the little kids didn't get much candy because the older ones were doing laps around the little ones. At the end the kids were happy to spread out the candy and look at their reward of all the hard work. This was one of the worst Halloweens I have ever had! The next day was much better and the sickness was pretty much gone.

This one is at Shane's work.

These pictures are at the school party.

Pumpkin Time

This year the girls picked out their pumkins and when it got time to carve them they both said gross!!! Neither one of them wanted to do it. We told them if they didn't help then they wouldn't be able to get pumkins next year. They were glad to help after that. Brianna drew out her face on the pumking and Paige pulled one for her daddy to make for hers. They really enjoyed seeing them lit up.
That night when Shane and I were getting ready for bed Paige started to cry. I went into her room and she had thrown up. You will never guess what it was!! PUMPKIN! Lots and lots of pumpkin. The funny thing about it is none of us saw her eat any of it. After cleaning her and her bed up we hoped that it was going to be a one time thing. We were wrong. She threw up about 5 more times that night. Unfortunatly that was not the end- she continued through out the day. Later we found out that she had gotten the flu (started friday night). Then on Sunday after Sacrament Shane took Paige home because she said that her tummy hurt. Once arriving home she threw up and other problems. Poor Paige was sick for about 5 days. I wish that was the end of the story. But- Sunday afternoon Brianna and I both threw up within 5 minutes of each other. I don't know what I would have done if Shane wasn't here to help. What do you do when your throwing up and your kid is too at the same time??? It was a challenge with three of us sick as dogs. On Monday morning I had my first prenatal doctors visit and I was still sick but really wanted to go because it took me about 5-6 weeks to get in. So- Shane stayed home from work to watch the girls and I prayed that I wouldn't be sick at the doctors. Well- Shane did get sick! He wouldn't let himself throw up though. He said that he swallowed it a few times (GROSS!!) Anyway about 5-6 days later we were all better. Of course this interupted Halloween. Future blog! We're glad were done with that and Bri still prayes at night that we won't have the flu again. Cute huh.

Brianna's First School Field Trip 10-26-06

We got to drive our kids into the Valley and attend a small pumkin patch at a church parking lot! Not that exciting you say. Well- my girls would tell you differently. The hay maze was a huge hit! It was hard to get them out. It's to bad that we couldn't have something like this that kept their attention at home.

Funny Apple and Cow pictures!

The one thing that I thought the girls would be really excited about was the chance to ride a pony. I was wrong. Both of them enjoyed it but they just wanted to go play in the hay maze. I thought the girls looked cute on the pony!

They had face painting and both of the girls wanted to have flowers. I was surprised that Paige held still for them to do it! Brianna wanted to do more but when we went back there wasn't anyone at that station any more.

I would have to say that overall we enjoyed our time. We were even able to bring home some hay for daddy to see. It makes Bri sad that her daddy isn't able to attend any of her school activites. We try to take lots of pictures so we can show him and tell him about the memories made.
